Game Summary

4. In a special Friday night event, the T-Wolves and Knicks squared off at school #6. Playing solid defense and feeding the post regularly (Kahli Ross 23pts), the Knicks seemed unstoppable as they built their lead to 12 points (31-19) with 4 ½ minutes remaining in the game. The Knicks were very happy with themselves. They had this in the bag; unfortunately they stopped doing what got them there. The T-Wolves saw an opening and ceased it. When the smoke cleared the Knicks lead had evaporated to 1 point (32-31) with under a minute remaining. Still ahead by 1, the Knicks, unable to “buy a basket”, fouled Calvin Cass Jr. (22pts) in the act of shooting with 0:38 seconds to go. Cass calmly hit the first foul shot to tie the score at 32. The gym was “electric” as the crowd roared its approval. As his 2nd shot swished through and the T-Wolves took their 1st and only lead of the game, the crowd exploded and the Knicks, for the 2nd time in 2 weeks, lost a game they should have won! Both teams had opportunities to score in the last 38 seconds to no avail. For the T-Wolves it was a great comeback win; for the Knicks it was heart breaking loss and another tough lesson to learn about winning. Final score: T-Wolves 33, Knicks 32.

roaring twenties

Roaring Twenties Project
In the 1920s fashion has always been influenced by the mode of transportation, the architecture of the period, and the customs of the people. Clothing developed closer relationships with art. Fashion was not so precise but yet they use elegant design with only selected fabrics. These outfits were a must in the 1920s for ladies fashion. Accessories such as hats, shoes, stockings, handbags, dresses and jewelry came together to make an eye catching stare from the audience of people looking at the elegant outfit. At the end of the First World War aka “roaring twenties” changed woman’s fashions dramatically. Dresses in the 1920s were brighter and lighter and most of all shorter. Dresses of the past were just that, the past. Fashions designers worked with different fabric colors, textures and patterns to invent brand new styles of dresses. Woman’s underwear has changed subsequently as well. With corsets became smaller and more flexible, and bras were being introduced during the 1920s.
Fashions for men in the 1920 were influenced greatly by prominent figures and idolized men’s of the era. A man by name of Red Grange and the Four Horsemen of Norte Dame influenced the style of coats like the raccoon coat and the camal hair polo coat. It wasn’t just sports heros that made men fashion so much better, but also by the world famous aviator. Leather jackets made people go crazy over this style of jacket. The very normal and popular attire for a working man was the suit. The suit was worn by the famous and the infamous as well as the rich and the poor. The fashion in roaring twenties have come a long way for both male and female.

Our Conjugation Song

Always Conjugate, Always conjugate, Always conjugate

(First Verse about AR)
You know I love it
Ooo yes I do
Conjugating is what I do
Give it my all
All the time
I will always, always take the ending off
When I conjugate
I replace the AR
With o, as, a, amos or an
That’s how you conjugate AR
Now its time for you to try
Chorus
So take the AR AR AR OFF
Add the o, as, a, amos, an
Take the AR AR AR OFF
Always take the ending off (off)

(Second Verse about ER)
Oo you know
You have to take ER off
And replace it with the correct end
And I gotta play it cool cause I’m losing it
I’ll do anything for me to comprehend
And I’m goin crazy, someone help me
And just shake me till you finally get it out of me
Just add the o, es, e, emos, en
And I just can’t believe that I finally got it down

Chorus
Take the ER ER ER OFF
Add the o, es , e, emos ,en
Take the ER ER ER OFF
Always take the ending off (off)

(Jordan)(THIRD)
Conjugation is used around the world
In countries like Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, and above.
Verbs had me goin crazy , until I heard this song
Now I conjugate daily, don’t need no translator
It makes my head pound
When I have to conjugate these
Words on my paper
But this song makes me realize it’s so easy
This all just got me dazing, cause it’s just so amazing
And in my head it’s stayin, but I still keep on sayin.

                   (Chorus)
You see these people around the world they know
How to conjugate the words they use
Now we know how to do it too
We just gotta remember how, how

And it’s not all confusing now
Using the rules we know about
Gotta keep them fresh in our heard
So it doesn’t fade out, out

the outsiders

Ponyboy is a teenager in high school who just wants to fit in. However, he is a poor kid from the wrong side of the tracks. One day a rich kid beats him up, and his friend, Johnny, kills the kid to save Ponyboy. They decide to run and hide instead of turning themselves in."
Laura J. Miller, Resident Scholar

"This is the story of Ponyboy Curtis who faces a daily battle with the gangster related culture of 1950's America. Ponyboy is a greaser and he and his gang have battles with the soc's. The greasers are the lowerclass and the soc's socities upper class. Ponyboy is involved in a fight with the soc's and this results in he and his friend Johnny running away to evade capture and further injury. They are caught in a fire and Johnny and Ponyboy become heroes for saving some children. The story has a tragic end for Johnny but leaves Ponyboy with the realization that he is no worse off being a greaser because he has morals, family and friends and above all else he is a bright kid with a bright future despite his hard struggle."
Shel, Resident Scholar

"Ponyboy Curtis struggles growing up as a poor youth with his overbearing older brother. One night while he is out, Curtis is attacked and his attacker is killed by his best friend. Curtis is forced to flee with his friend and grows up while he is on the road. The novel comes to a shocking conclusion while Curtis is on the road and he returns home with the maturity of a grown man. "
Daniela Lo Presti, Resident Scholar

"The main character, Ponyboy (a greaser), lives with his two brothers, Darry and Sodapop. His parents died in a car accident. His brothers both dropped out of school so that they could support Ponyboy, who is very smart and gets good grades. There is also an ongoing battle against the Socs (the wealthy kids) and greasers.

After going to a movie, Ponyboy and his friend Johnny went to the park and the Socs started drowning Ponyboy and tried to beat up Johnny. In self-defense, Johnny killed one of the Socs.

So that the police would not catch them, their friend Dally told them to hop a freight and go to Jay Mountain and hide in the church there. They passed the time by playing cards and reading "Gone With the Wind". When Dally finally came to get them, they filled up on food, and Johnny decided to turn himself in. While they were driving by the church, they realized that it was on fire, and that there were little kids inside.

Johnny and Ponyboy went inside and saved all the kids but both got injured. They were rushed to the hospital, where they found out that Johnny had severe burns, but Ponyboy was all right. That night, the Socs and greasers had a rumble and many people got hurt, but the greasers won."
Ashley, Resident Scholar

" Ponyboy Curtis and his brothers, Sodapop and Darry, belong to a group of poor teenage boys called greasers. Many of them have led hard lives already, and they are tough, angry and unforgiving. They often fight with the Socs, the group of wealthy, privileged boys who beat them up for fun.
Ponyboy is shy and quiet. He gets good grades and likes to draw and read. His oldest brother Darry takes care of the family, since their parents died in a car crash. He is very serious, works most of the time, and is very hard on Ponyboy. He often yells at him to do better in school. Soda, the middle brother, is happy most of the time, and is very handsome and likable. The family often gets into fights over Ponyboy's future.
There are a few other members of their gang, including Dally and
Johnny.Dally is one of the oldest, and certainly the toughest. He seems to enjoy being a criminal. He thinks the law is a joke. Johnny is even shyer than Pony. His parents abuse him, so he always seems scared. He is the pet of the group. Recently, Johnny was beat up very badly by a Soc wearing heavy rings.
One night, Dally, Johnny and Pony meet two beautiful Soc girls,
Cherry and Marcia. Cherry is smart and dreamy like Ponyboy, and they
have a good conversation. On the way home, the girls' boyfriends catch them all together. It turns out that Cherry's boyfriend is Bob, the same boy who beat Johnny up. Later that night, Ponyboy comes in late and gets into such a fight with Darry that he runs to the park with Johnny just to get away from the house. Bob and his friends find Pony and Johnny there, and nearly drown Pony in a fountain.
Terrified and angry, Johnny stabs Bob to death. The two boys run to find Dally, knowing he will know what to do. He gives them money and tells them to hide in a church a short distance out of town. They stay there for a few days, reading to each other and talking about poetry and sunsets. (Johnny is thoughtful like Pony, and they get along very well.) When Dallas comes to find them, they tell him they want to turn themselves in. Before they can, however, the church catches fire and several small children are trapped inside.
Without thinking, the boys rescue them, and a large piece of burning wood falls on Johnny and breaks his back. Pony spends a short time in the hospital, then gets to go home. That evening there is a big fight between the greasers and the Socs, which the greasers win. One of Bob's friends does not fight, because he is sick of all the hate and anger around him.Cherry, meanwhile, has become a spy for the greasers, which pleases Ponyboy but also angers him: he doesn't want charity. After the rumble, Dally and Ponyboy go to see Johnny, who dies.Dally is overwhelmed, and runs out of the hospital. Soon after, back at home, Darry and the others get a phone call from Dally. He has robbed a liquor store. The boys run out to find him and hide him, but the police are chasing him. He pulls out a gun. Ponyboy knows it isn't loaded, but he knows that Dally knows the police think it is. The police shoot Dally, and Pony knows Dally wanted to die. Pony faints and stays sick for nearly a week. Ponyboy is so upset by Johnny's death that for weeks he pretends to himself (and everyone else) that he himself killed Bob, and that Johnny is still alive. After the trial, however, when the judge decides that Ponyboy did nothing wrong, Pony begins to admit to himself that Dally and
Johnny are both dead. He decides to write about himself for a class
assignment, so he can let other people know what life for a greaser is like. He is sure that there are many boys across the country just like him. He also recognizes, finally, that Darry loves him. He sees that Darry was just being overprotective when he yelled at him. He feels that, for the first time, he and his two brothers form a family.

Ipod history

The iPod nano
What is the difference between the original iPod nano and the new one? Many people would think that there is a big difference, but it really isn’t.
The iPod nano has evolved over the years. It has more features and is better than ever. It has changed in many ways. For instance, it changed the amount of memory that it could hold. It changed the colors that they have for these different iPods. Next, it changed the way we hold these iPods.
The original iPod nano had many features. For instance, it had two colors. It came in white and black. They memory capability was pretty low. It went from one gigabyte to two gigabytes and then to four gigabytes. They were available from September 2005 to September 2006.
The second generation iPod nano has more features than the first one. For instance, they came in more colors such as silver, green, blue, black and pink. The memory capability is a little better too. It starts at two gigabytes, then goes to four gigabytes, then it finally goes to eight gigabytes. They were available during the time period of September 2006 until September 2007.
My opinion is that the third generation iPod nano is better than the first two generations. I think this because they have many more features than both of them. For instance, they come in many different colors such as blue, pink, white, black, and light green. The memory capacity has a little more memory than the other two generations. For example, they start at four gigabytes and ends at eight gigabytes. The third generation can also play videos and has video playbacks. They were available in the time period of September 2007 through September 2008.
The fourth generation iPod nano was more enhanced than those three iPods. For instance, it is available in nine different colors. Also, it can be bought in either eight gigabytes or sixteen gigabyte in memory. It has a shake feature. That means that when you shake the iPod, it will shuffle your music. It has a curved surface and a taller screen. The fourth generation iPod nano was available during the time of 2008 through 2009.
The fifth generation iPod nano is a lot better than the others. Well, it is only a little different than the fourth generation iPod nano. One difference is that the fifth generation has a video camera. You are able to take many videos, pictures and other things that you want on it. Also, it has video playback. You could put music videos and full length movies depending on the amount of memory. This generation of iPod can have a memory of eight gigabytes and sixteen gigabytes. They were available from September 2009 through September 2010.
The sixth and final generation iPod nano is the absolute best out of all of the generations of the iPod nanos. First of all, it is touch screen. You can listen to music on it. It has video playback. The sixth generation iPod has a shake feature also. Next, it has a longer battery life than the other generations of the iPod nanos. It comes in eight gigabytes and sixteen gigabytes. Finally, it comes in many different colors.

The iPod Touch.
When you go to buy an iPod, what do you buy? Some people like to buy iPod shuffles. Other people buy iPod nanos. Another group of people buy iPod classics. Most people buy the newer iPods which are the iPod touch.
The iPod touch, just like the other ones come in generations. The iPod touch comes in four different generations. They all are good and work just fine, but they have minor differences that have big effects.
The first generation came out September 2007. They had different features than the others, but it has some that the other iPods have. For instance, the memory capability was different. It starts with eight gigabytes of memory, went to sixteen gigabytes, and ends at thirty two gigabytes worth of memory. These iPods hold music, photos and different types of videos depending on the memory capability.
The second generation came out on September 9, 2008. The iPod second generation had a little more features then the first generation. For example, this iPod has Wi-Fi. That means that they can go online on a program called safari. Safari is a browser that is used only for apple products. It also has a 3.5 inch widescreen touch screen display. The memory capability is different too. It starts with eight gigabytes, goes to 16 gigabytes, then the thirty-two gigabytes, and finally sixty four gigabytes.
The third generation has a little more features than both of the generations put together. This iPod was out September 2009. This iPod’s capability is different from the other two iPods. It starts at sixteen gigabytes, goes to thirty two gigabytes, and ends at sixty four gigabytes. Its battery life is thirty six hours only if you are listening to music. If you are doing video playback, the battery will last for only six hours. It comes in the colors gray and black. It I still currently being sold in stores.
The most current iPod touch is the fourth generation iPod touch. The fourth generation iPod touch is the best iPod touch out of all of the iPod generations. For instance, they have an installed video camera. Also, the memory capability is better than the others. The iPod’s memory starts at eight gigabytes goes to thirty two gigabytes and ends at sixty four gigabytes. The battery life is also longer than the other iPod generations. For instance, if you are only listening to music, it would last for forty hours. If you are going to be watching movies and other things like that it will only be good for seven hours. Also, it has built in Wi-Fi. That means that it has wireless internet. The best part about these iPods is that they can hold many good apps and great games.
The iPod touch has evolved over the years. The iPod touch is better than it has been over the years.
iPod Shuffle
There are many different types of iPods that are out in this world. For instance, there is the iPod touch, iPod nano, iPod classic, iPod mini, and the iPod shuffle.
There are different generations for different types of iPods. For instance, the iPod classic has seven, the iPod touch has four, and the iPod shuffle has four. Even though the iPod shuffle has only four different generations, it has been revised so there are really eight different types of iPod shuffle.
The first generation iPod shuffle has only one version. This iPod had very few features. The memory was extremely low. For instance, the only amount of memory that they could hold was five hundred twelve megabytes and one gigabyte. The only color that it came in was white. It used only a USB( Universal Serial Bus) for charging and syncing music. Finally, the battery life is only twelve hours.
The Second generation iPod shuffle has four different models. The first one had memory like the first generation. The only thing that was different is that it has only one gigabyte of memory on it. It comes in silver only. It also uses just a USB for charging and syncing music. It also has twelve hours of battery life. The second version of it was like the first one. For instance, it has the same amount of memory; they both use a USB, and the same battery life. The only difference is that it comes in different colors, such as silver, orange, green, blue, and pink. The third version is different than the other two, but had many similar features. One difference is that this iPod shuffle has two memory capabilities. The memory starts at one gigabyte and ends at two gigabytes. The other thing that is different than the rest is the colors. They come in Silver, light blue, light green, purple, and product red. Everything else is like the first two; it uses a USB and has twelve hours of battery life on it. The last version of the second generation is almost exactly like the third version except it has one difference, the colors. It comes in silver, blue, green, pink, and product red.
The third generation has two different versions. The first version has better features than the any of the second generations. For instance, it can hold up to four gigabytes of memory. It comes in the colors black and silver. It uses an USB cord for syncing and has a cord for charging. Finally, it has up to ten hours of battery life. The second version is better than the first one in many ways. For example, it can hold from two gigabytes of memory to four gigabytes of memory. Also it comes in the colors silver, black blue green, pink, and polished. The similar things on this are that it uses a cable to charge and a USB to sync music. Also, it has up to ten hours of battery life.
The fourth generation has only one version. It can hold up to two gigabytes of memory. It comes in the colors silver blue, green, orange, silver, and pink. It uses an USB for charging and syncing music. You can also charge it in the wall. This iPod also has fifteen hours of battery life.
This iPod has changed over the years for the better. It is great to see what can happen to iPods over the years.
iPod Classics
There are many different types of iPods. There is the iPod touch, iPod shuffle, and many more. I know that many people use an iPod called iPod Classics. IPod classics are really good iPods for various reasons.
Just like the other iPods, the iPod classic comes in different generations. They have seven different generations.
The first generation is the most basic iPod classic. It was the first iPod ever made. The iPod classic was better than all of the other mp3 players that were out there. The reason why it was better than the other mp3 players out there is because there were more features. These features included memory, sound, and the abilities that these iPods have. They were first released to the United States on October 23, 2001. It had from five to ten gigabytes of memory. It uses a Fire wire connection uses the Mac. It uses up to ten hours in audio. It didn’t have any cameras and couldn’t have any pictures or video.
The second generation iPod classic was better than the first one. The second generation iPod classic was first introduced to the United States on July 17, 2002. Just like the first generation iPod classic, it used Fire wire; it didn’t have or take any pictures, it didn’t couldn’t store or take any videos and many more. Even though there is a lot that this iPod can’t do, there is one thing that they can do and that is taking and listening to music. The second generation iPod classic has more memory than the first generation iPod classic. For instance, this iPod takes from ten gigabytes to twenty gigabytes of memory. It also had ten hours of battery life.
The third generation iPod classic is better than the other two generations. It was released on April 28, 2003. It doesn’t only use a Fire wire, but it also uses a USB cord. The USB is only used for syncing music. The memory capability is better than the other two. It starts at ten gigabytes, goes to fifteen gigabytes, then twenty gigabytes, thirty gigabytes, and then it ends at forty gigabytes. It used Mac and the Windows for syncing music. The iPod has only eight hours of battery life.
The fourth generation iPod classic is better than the others. It had two different versions of it. The first version was first introduced on July 19, 2004. It can use either Fire wire or USB cords. It has twelve hours of audio. It couldn’t hold pictures. The memory capability starts at twenty gigabytes and ends at forty gigabytes. The second version was even better than the first version. It was first introduced on October 26, 2004. For instance, it could hold pictures and slide shows. The memory started at twenty gigabytes, went to thirty gigabytes, forty gigabytes, and finally sixty gigabytes. It used both USB and FireWire. This iPod will work for up to fifteen hours in audio and five hours in slideshow.
The fifth generation iPod classic was introduced on October 12, 2005. The memory of this iPod was far better than the others. For instance, it started at thirty gigabytes, went to sixty gigabytes, then eighty gigabytes, and then finally one hundred sixty gigabytes. This iPod was capable of far more things than the other iPods. For instance, this iPod has video playback. That means that you can watch full length movies. It uses a USB and a FireWire. The FireWire is only used for charging. Its battery life is fourteen hours for audio and two hours for video playback.
The sixth and final generation iPod classic has revolutionized the iPod industry. This is because it is the best iPod classic that was invented. The memory capability starts at eighty gigabytes, goes to one hundred twenty gigabytes, and one hundred sixty gigabytes. It uses a USB and a FireWire. The FireWire is for charging only. It was introduced to the United States on September 5, 2007. The battery life is pretty big. You can listen to the music for up to forty hours and seven hours for video playback.
The iPod classic has changed over the years. It has made my life easier.
