Game Summary

4. In a special Friday night event, the T-Wolves and Knicks squared off at school #6. Playing solid defense and feeding the post regularly (Kahli Ross 23pts), the Knicks seemed unstoppable as they built their lead to 12 points (31-19) with 4 ½ minutes remaining in the game. The Knicks were very happy with themselves. They had this in the bag; unfortunately they stopped doing what got them there. The T-Wolves saw an opening and ceased it. When the smoke cleared the Knicks lead had evaporated to 1 point (32-31) with under a minute remaining. Still ahead by 1, the Knicks, unable to “buy a basket”, fouled Calvin Cass Jr. (22pts) in the act of shooting with 0:38 seconds to go. Cass calmly hit the first foul shot to tie the score at 32. The gym was “electric” as the crowd roared its approval. As his 2nd shot swished through and the T-Wolves took their 1st and only lead of the game, the crowd exploded and the Knicks, for the 2nd time in 2 weeks, lost a game they should have won! Both teams had opportunities to score in the last 38 seconds to no avail. For the T-Wolves it was a great comeback win; for the Knicks it was heart breaking loss and another tough lesson to learn about winning. Final score: T-Wolves 33, Knicks 32.

roaring twenties

Roaring Twenties Project
In the 1920s fashion has always been influenced by the mode of transportation, the architecture of the period, and the customs of the people. Clothing developed closer relationships with art. Fashion was not so precise but yet they use elegant design with only selected fabrics. These outfits were a must in the 1920s for ladies fashion. Accessories such as hats, shoes, stockings, handbags, dresses and jewelry came together to make an eye catching stare from the audience of people looking at the elegant outfit. At the end of the First World War aka “roaring twenties” changed woman’s fashions dramatically. Dresses in the 1920s were brighter and lighter and most of all shorter. Dresses of the past were just that, the past. Fashions designers worked with different fabric colors, textures and patterns to invent brand new styles of dresses. Woman’s underwear has changed subsequently as well. With corsets became smaller and more flexible, and bras were being introduced during the 1920s.
Fashions for men in the 1920 were influenced greatly by prominent figures and idolized men’s of the era. A man by name of Red Grange and the Four Horsemen of Norte Dame influenced the style of coats like the raccoon coat and the camal hair polo coat. It wasn’t just sports heros that made men fashion so much better, but also by the world famous aviator. Leather jackets made people go crazy over this style of jacket. The very normal and popular attire for a working man was the suit. The suit was worn by the famous and the infamous as well as the rich and the poor. The fashion in roaring twenties have come a long way for both male and female.
